Two South Korean friends will be reunited for the first time since they left Holland when Tottenham take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Tottenham left-back Lee Young-Pyo will come up against compatriot Park Ji-Sung in the top-of-the-table encounter which will also feature a Dutch reunion.
The South Korean internationals were major stars for their country during the 2002 World Cup when they reached the semi-finals of the competition under team manager Guus Hiddink.
They followed Hiddink to PSV and played key roles for the club as they clinched a league and cup success in 2005. They also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League before losing out to AC Milan.
Park was the first to move to England when he joined United and Lee soon followed with Spurs securing his services during the summer transfer window.
Both players have adapted to the rigours of life in the Premiership and Lee is looking forward to the clash against third-placed United and seeing his old friend.
"I've known Ji-Sung for a long time," said Lee. "We started playing together for the Korean national team some seven, eight years ago. We also had three years together every day at PSV, so we know everything about each other!
"Ji-Sung is a very strong player, very athletic with lots of ability. This match is very important for us both and our teams, especially when you look where we are in the table.
Davids believes United's long-term success is still the benchmark other English clubs must aspire to as he prepares to return to Old Trafford for the first time since losing the Champions League final with Juventus two years ago.
But while Chelsea lifted their first league title for 50 years last season and have stormed to nine straight wins since the new campaign got underway, Davids still insists that it is the Red Devils who have set the standard for others to match.
"Every team is looking up to Manchester United. Chelsea can now put the standards up and create history but in the end it is Manchester United who have been successful for six or seven years.
